The day I stumbled onto the WFE reshoots....

Wed, 02/09/2011 - 12:49AM by gkngc04 2 Comments - 644 Views

The Call Sign: JerryRob at Jacob carrying Reese as MarlenaRobert and Dean his bodyguardRob, Francis Lawrence (the director) and ReeseOK, so I stayed home on Friday from work because my husband didn't feel good and so he took the day off and didn't want to have to get up and take our son to school, cause that is where he works, so I said I'll do it. I had a doctors appt later that day anyway....so off me and my son went at 7:00 am to my sons school, on the way to his school there is a park which used to be a lake but now is mostly brush and trees because the dam was in danger of breaking about 20 years ago, so as I am driving by I see a YELLOW SIGN that says "JERRY" on it. These are the signs that they put out as code for actors and people to find a location where they are filming, well as I drove by I thought hmmmm "Jerry" was the call sign for Water For Elephants this summer when I went up to see Rob filming (which I never got to actually see him film, just drive past and smile) anyway I digress. I thought no way could it be what I think it might be....mind you this place is 5 MINUTES from my house.....so, I dropped my son off and went back to take a look....I mean no harm no foul if I just go look.....and OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH! OMG, OME, OMR.....it was where they were doing the reshoots for WFE!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost freaked out, I mean I did freak out......I realized that I didn't have my phone or my camera, so I drove home and got everything and went back. The directer had tweeted that Rob wasn't going to be apart of the reshoots but who knows really....so I couldn't drive closer so there is a walking path up on the top of the dam and I grabbed my phone and my camera and went for a little stroll.....there are tons of rocks to sit on and so I made myself comfortable and started watching the filming of the reshoots.....mind you still thinking that Rob is not there....then I notice that there is a guy standing there getting lit for a scene and he looked similar to Rob but it wasn't....but why would they be using someone to light scenes if he wasn't there???? I started to get nervous and excited, what if he is there and I am the ONLY fan here???? Insane, surreal, totally crazy.....Well, as I am thinking this I notice two people walking towards this muddy puddle.....I know that head, I know those long legs, I KNOW those hands, I KNOW THAT IS ROBERT FREAKING PATTINSON and his bodyguard Dean walking towards that muddy puddle and I am sitting here watching him.....I got to sit and watch him uninterupted (sp?) for 3 1/2 glorious hours....I watched him carry Reese Witherspooon on his back through that mud puddle over and over again...I still am amazed.....CRAZY!!! If you go to www.RobPattzNews.com you can see my pictures.....It's underhttp://robertpattinsonnews-uk.blogspot.com/2011/01/confirmed-rob-on-set-for-water-for.html

Eclipse Premiere 06-24-2010

Sat, 07/31/2010 - 9:54PM by gkngc04 3 Comments - 114 Views

So, the big day we've ALL been waiting for has finally arrived!!!!  We've been sleeping on the streets, not showering and listening to the commercials on the big screens for 3 days....was it worth it you ask?  Heck yes!!!! We got in line, AGAIN to get let into the "Black" carpet viewing area and notice that we are right across from the press, my sister-n-law said "we are gonna be in all of the pics so we better pose" I laughed but she was absolutely right.  If you look in a lot of the pictures taken from that night I can see myself, my niece and my sister-n-law.  It's so surreal to be there for an event like this.

We stood in the hot, hot, hot sun for about 3 hours waiting for the stars to start showing up.  I was not particularily interested in anyone but Robert so I wandered over to where all the stars were stopping for interviews and got some great shots of them, when all of a sudden an ear piercing scream rose from the fans that were waiting across the street, I looked over and there HE was, strolling over to them....I couldn't believe it! My heart started to race and I had to remember that I needed to take pictures to document this momenteous occasion.  At first I was a little ticked that he went over to them to sign autographs because I mean seriously "why in the heck did I spend 3 nights out on the street when I could have stood across the street on the day of the premiere and still gotten close to him" but just my luck I would have done that and he would have skipped that part all together!  He was smiling, signing, waving and taking pics with as many people that he could.  He is so amazing that way! I love him for that.  All of a sudden more screams and Kristen's car pulled up and she went over there to sign too.  She looked so beautiful, I loved her dress!  More screams and then it was Taylor's turn to arrive.  The screams were just so loud.

Finally, Robert made his way over to the "Black" carpet and I went back to where my sister-n-law and niece were standing.  He signed & took pics with the first group, went to interview with MTV, then headed to our section.....aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhaaaaahhhhhh here he comes...be still my heart. He is more beautiful in person than his pics, if you can believe that.  WOWIE, WOW....he signed our mags, books, talked with us and took pics, unfortunately I was not close enough to get a pic with him but he signed my picture and I took a pic of him signing it. Finally when my sister-n-law placed the picture in my hands is when I could feel the high that I had been on start to crash and I just hugged her and started to cry.  Finally, I had been 3 feet away from him, this has been one of my goals and it was accomplished.  I couldn't believe it.  Seriously, I have never been this enamoured over a movie star in my entire life. It's been a crazy, crazy year!

When Kristen got there you could see that everything was alright in his world.  His eyes lit up and he put his arm around her and that is pretty much where it remained the rest of the night whenever they were together.  He just simply seems to adore her and she seems to think he's something pretty special too. They kept whispering to each other, smiling, looking, touching, etc... It was pretty awesome to witness their "coming out" so to speak.

Well, I hope that you enjoyed my story as much as I have had remembering that night and writing it down for you.  I've now seen Eclipse 7 times and looking forward to more fun Rob adventures........

Camping Out In Eclipse Tent City

Thu, 07/08/2010 - 10:43PM by gkngc04 0 Comments - 41 Views

Day 1~So, the day had finally arrived! June 21, 2010.  Summit Entertainment told us that we couldn't start lining up until 6 am, but my friend told me that people were "unofficially" lining up across the street from where we were going to "officially" line up!  It was such a joke, the security guards didn't have any guts to tell people that they couldn't do that, but I have learned a very valuable lesson....don't follow rules when it comes to ANYTHING Twilight related if you want to get a good place in line.  So at 4:30 am on 6/21 my sister-n-law, my three nieces (18, 7 & 2), a friend and I jumped in our cars and flew to Nokia Live in Downtown Los Angeles, we were officially in line by 4:59 am, one hour before Summit said we could line up.  I would say that we were like the 600th people in line already.  Oh, well, what I have said from the beginning and what I will keep saying is it is all about the experience.  So, after we had been in line about 30 minutes, someone yelled "Run, Run, Run" and so everyone started running.......it was absolute madness.  We had no idea what was happening so we started running or be run over.  After everyone stopped running somehow we now were in the middle of the line and we weren't moving.  I was not about to go to the back of the line, I didn't even know where that was.  We stayed put.  There was this one guy that was just rude and shouldn't have been working this event.  He made girls cry, I don't even know if he worked for Summit or for L.A. Live.

Anyway, we finally got our coveted bracelet that would guarantee us a spot within the Red Carpet area if you were within the first 500.  My number was 416....so we were totally in!!!!!! My niece (18) and I set up our tent and hunkered down for the long haul.  My sister-n-law and friend had to go to work and do stuff in the real world.  We totally got to see the Laker's get on their parade vehicles and head out to their celebration, without fighting all of the Laker's fans.  That was a nice added perk.  The first day went pretty fast, we read, talked and watched all of the other people.  It was so hot and the place that we put our tent was the last place that the shade hit, so we were in the sun virtually all day.  Thank God for umbrella's.

I have a pair of vans tennis shoes that my husband had painted on for me for Christmas with Edward and Bella on them and so as I watched people ALL around my niece and I get interviewed I thought hey I've got something to say and something to show off so I yelled out to Channel 4 "Do you want to see my shoes?" They came over and interviewed us and took video of my shoes it was fun!

So around midnight we crawled into our tent and went to sleep.  What a crazy first day.

Day 2~ Was pretty non event filled, some more of the free giveaway stuff, but then at about 9 pm ish, I got a tweet from one of the extra's on the set of "Water For Elephants" and I guess someone from there had something special planned for us????? What could it be?????? All of a sudden on the big screen in the middle of the plaza is giant MOON!  A "NEW MOON" to be exact!  A certain someone asked that the movie be shown for all of the fans down at the Tent City.  What fun it was to watch this movie with at least 600 other fans.  Everyone was yelling at the screen, it was amazing! "Bella, don't go into the forest with Edward" things like that.  Fun times were had by all.  Again in bed by midnight, tonight was super cold though and I was reliving my own "Eclipse" tent scene but with out the gorgeously cold Edward or the hot Jacob ;)

Day 3~OK, so by this day we were getting a little stir crazy.  We had to be up and all packed by 5 am because we had to move our camping site to another location so that construction on the Red Carpet could begin.  So, at 6 am they moved us all over to a much smaller location, by this time you could either stay longer or go home and come back for the premiere.  My niece and I decided to only keep our chairs in our spots and pack everything else up in the car.  Since we had already paid the $25 for parking we would stay till about 10 pm and then go home.  Get good nights rest and come back the next day, showered and beautified for the premiere.  I am SOOOOOOOO glad that we stayed.  At about 3 pm we heard that Peter Facinelli and Kellan Lutz were supposed to be stopping by to meet fans.  Boo Boo Stewart and Tinsel Korey came by in the morning, so we were pretty excited that more people would be stopping by......but never expected that 5 MORE of the cast would be coming by!!!!!! Since we were fairly far down the line we could hear all the screams and so I decided to go and check it out, I looked and realized that it was JACKSON RATHBONE!!!!! If you've read my other blog, I kinda sorta like him too :) so I was pretty darn excited....I had promised my niece that I wouldn't cry when I saw Robert but I never promised anything about Jackson and so I burst into tears.  I think that it was purely exhaustion and excitement but cry I did.  When he got to me I told him that I saw him in concert with the 100 Monkeys and he told me that they were gonna be playing in concert the next night right after the premiere, he signed my pictures, I tried to get a pic with him but he was pulled away, he said that he would be back.  Well, he did come back but unfortunately just as we were about to take our picture together the girls next to me started asking him question after question, so while he was answering their questions he was HOLDING MY HAND!!!!! I was standing there holding hands with Jackson Rathbone, what a surreal moment! So, after that Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Julia Jones, and Charlie Bewley came by to do autographs.  It was pretty crazy! They passed out burgers from Burger King, makeup, crowns, vitamin water, neutragena face stuff and etc..... What an amazing day!  We left around 10 pm and went home.

In my next blog I will fill you in on the Eclipse Premiere!!!!!

My Trip To The Set of "Water for Elephants"

Tue, 06/08/2010 - 5:52PM by gkngc04 2 Comments - 146 Views

Well, When I found out about a month ago that Robert Pattinson would be filming his new movie "Water For Elephants" in almost my backyard I freaked out! I like so many love the guy. So, when I saw that the director mentioned on Twitter that he had put up the "Big Top" I grabbed my six year old son and told him "Let's go find us a circus tent"! We headed out to Fillmore, CA and proceeded to find what looked like circus animal cars and some newly painted boxcars! I was extremely excited and took some pics! So, needless to say when I saw this exact same boxcar the first day of shooting with the man of the hour in it, I about died!

I got off of work on Thursday, May 20th, rushed home grabbed my camera, binoculars, my niece and my friend and we headed out to find me some Robert Pattinson.  Well, unfortunately that first day we had absolutely no luck and we didn't have a lot of time to get out and ask around. So, with heavy hearts we headed home.

Well, with a little help from a friend, we headed out on Friday, May 21st with renewed hope.  We got to Fillmore and went up one street and down another.  Finally, we asked a local if she knew where they would be filming and she DID! She started to give us directions and then asked if we would like for her to take us there????? UM, let me think about it.....YES! So she had us follow her and then we saw the magic yellow call signs and we knew we were close.

As we turned the corner there in a beautiful orchard of reds, yellows, and greens was the most beautiful beat up looking circus tent I have ever seen, my heart started racing and I nearly started to cry. I was just so happy that we had found it.  Well, we drove by the entrance and there were about 17 other people there. I was expecting a lot more. But from this entrance you couldn't even see the set so we turned around and parked where you could.  I took some pics of the train, circus tent and building but no sign of "you know who".

From where we were you could see a ranch up on the hill and we knew that they had to be able to get there somehow, so we drove down the road a ways and saw another entrance, it didn't say "No Trespassing" or "Do Not Enter" so we did and drove down the road, when we got to the end we were literally about 150 yards from the trains engine.  We stayed there and took pictures for a little while, I brought along my "Edward Cullen" action figure just in case I couldn't get any pictures of Rob and so I took a picture of Edward with the train and the set behind him, it's pretty funny. When the security guards started walking over towards us we jumped in our car and headed out.  We were laughing so hard!

Well, we parked then and joined the other fans, there was one boy that had been there since 9 am, burnt to a crisp, I felt really bad for him.  We waited and waited...and waited and waited but no signs of Mr. Pattinson.  Finally, everyone was leaving and so we watched the cars.  One car came up and had two blond ladies in the front seat and I think that one of them was supposed to be a decoy for Reese Witherspoon.  As this car pulled forward, I noticed that there was a person in the backseat with a grey hoodie and sunglasses on.  We ALL know that this is Robert's favorite disguise.  Everyone else was excited about the girl in the front seat but I could tell through my binoculars that it was not Reese, I was concerned with the person in the backseat.  The car pulled up next to us and the driver yelled out at some girls that were standing in the street that they should move and when she did that, the person in the backseat looked over at us and smiled.  All I have to say is this: "I stood around doing a lot of waiting for you to come out Rob, only for you to try and sneak out of the front gate in a car, in the backseat......come on Rob, I knew it was you...grey hoodie, baseball cap, sunglasses, your signature slouch.....and that beautiful smile, on your beautiful face"  I desperately didn't want to believe that he wouldn't stop for autographs but I guess he can't stop for everyone and it was Friday night.  Oh, well next time, I am not giving up.  All in all I had a lot of fun and you always meet some really fun people when you are doing these things.

I haven't been back out there yet but I plan on going again soon.  Until then.....

So nice to the fans

Thu, 04/22/2010 - 9:02PM by gkngc04 0 Comments - 28 Views

Even though he might be overwhelmed by all of the screaming girls, he just seems to be one of the most gracious guys in the "industry".  I heard that at the New Moon premiere when it was time for him to go in and see the movie he stayed out for something like 45 minutes signing as many autographs as he could, because they had been waiting for 4 days!!!!  He always just seems so modest that anyone would want his autograph.  Well, let me tell you Mr. Pattinson, I want your autograph! I am hoping that, that day is drawing near.

OK, so I heard from one of my friends who is hosting a "Twilight" cruise in Alaska this coming Summer that an Australian magazine "Dolly" was looking for the biggest "Twilight" fan.  So, I e-mailed my info and they actually interviewed me and I made it into the magazine.  This has got to be the most exciting thing to happen so far in my love of all things "Twilight" !!!!

What a year!

Sat, 04/17/2010 - 12:35AM by gkngc04 1 Comment - 31 Views

Ok, so...I know this will sound corny but I have never done anything like this before.  I didn't read Twilight until March of 2009 and saw the movie that same week thanks to my niece...now? Wow, I cannot get enough.  It's absolutely insane.  I am a wife and mother....but since I was introduced to Twilight I feel like I am back in my teens....I am 38 years old and shortly turning 39.  I don't even know if I can explain what or how I feel about The Twilight Saga, other than the fact that I am utterly obsessed and maybe a little bit Robsessed! The best part? My husband is my biggest supporter of my obsession.  He is awesome!  Well my ultimate goal is to meet Robert Pattinson.  Once that happens then maybe I can stop going and standing in thousands of lines and sleeping out on Hollywood Blvd.  Well, we'll see....it is kind of fun.  I love to talk Twilight with anyone that will listen.  So, if you want to comment on here I would love to talk to you about it!!!  Thanks for reading my first ever blog. The picture I included is from the night that I saw Robert at the Hot Topic Hollywood and Highland meet and greet...no I was not this close to him but we were in the same air space, so I was breathing his air and he mine.  He is probably one of the most genuine stars out there and seems so shy in person.  Gotta love it!
